Someone once told me that in-home salespeople shouldn't drive a nice car to their sales appointments.
I say "hogwash!"
I believe it's perfectly appropriate to drive an upscale car to most sales appointments at customers' homes. Salespeople shouldn't try to hide their success. If you're successful and you have a nice vehicle, then go ahead and drive around town in a nice vehicle. This won't have a negative impact on your sales performance if you're engaging, friendly, and focused on your customers' needs.
I'm not suggesting you flaunt your riches to your prospects. But don't be afraid to be the most successful real estate agent in your town, or the best paid residential landscape designer or the most successful custom closet consultant.
Prospects hate snobs. But they love to deal with successful people who they feel comfortable with.
